My throat mic crapped out, looking for a replacement
Just had the wire connecting the transponders of my NT3 literally rot away on me. The second of such mic to die on me from a similar failure. With that said, is there anyone on here that has experience with these things? I'm looking for a throat mic specifically because standard mics pick up background noise and I play with a loud ass surround sound.

I only use desk mics. The one I have is nice though. Spent $50 on it so I get good voice quality. So I can't really comment on what's good or not.

The easiest fix for a mic that picks up background sound it the cover it with a 2"X 2" piece of sponge.. Thats what i do with mines or ppls would here my fan that's right next to me when im playing lol.

Re: My throat mic crapped out, looking for a replacement
Trust me I've tried all of the tricks with standard mics. It simply does not work due to how loud I play my content and the fact that I'm dead center in the middle of a well put together surround sound. If I wasn't running a surround sound that had 14 inch drivers on most of the speakers (center actually being two speakers with 10 inch drivers) and actually happened to be more than three feet away from them, then maybe it would work, however that is not the case.

Put some of the more hopeful options on a notepad, gonna try to hunt down some reviews for them and possibly ask around airsoft forums, etc.
