Speed ad - Mistakes
"No one should pay for a mistake with their life. When we drive, we share the road with others, so the speed we choose to travel at needs to leave room for any potential error."

What I say to the others when I'm driving is "You're lucky I'm not in a RX"

Re: Speed ad - Mistakes
Few years ago I read about a story in Greece.. 20 year old guy was doing stunts with his motorcycle outside a high school, trying to impress the girls. At some point he lost control of the bike and crashed on two teenagers who were crossing the street at the time. They were brother and sister, the only children their parents had. Both of them died. I think that man got like 10-15 years in prison. I believe 10 years in prison should be the minimum punishment in case you are caught speeding or DUI, especially in populated areas. If you actually kill someone, then you should never see the light of the day again.

I have absolutely NO tolerance for those who drink and drive. It's sad how many Airmen get into DUI accidents here. I feel like that should mean a dishonorable discharge at the very least.

We had something similar in the army. Not a discharge of course since in Greece and Cyprus going to the army is obligatory. But if your commander found out you got a speeding or DUI ticket while you were on a leave, you d get at least 10 days of military jail.

That wouldn't work... the ones who wanted out would know that all they had to do was get drunk and drive and get caught.
The days in military jail might be better... lol.

Re: Speed ad - Mistakes
I highly doubt anyone would try to get DISHONORABLY discharged from the military. That basically puts this huge stamp on you for life that says you're scum and fucked up so bad not even the military wants you anymore. So, it'd be good luck getting a job anywhere including McDonalds.
